When designing for the future office, what has changed since covid-19 and how can we design to make the transition and adaption easier for people?
This design is for people who are now going to be working remotely from home now that companies realize that not all people need to be working from an office.
Working from home is not ideal. It has slowed down productivity and affected mental health for many people. This is because a bedroom or dining room table was not designed to be a productive work space.
Not all houses have access to natural light. The next best thing is to mimic the look and feel with artificial lighting. Certain lights that imitate daylight can improve performance of work by increasing ones alertness and stimulating the brain.
Seasonal affective disorder, or SAD, is a form of depression caused by a lack of natural sunlight. In winter months, the span of day light gets shorter. When your body receives sunlight, you produce vitamin D, vitamin D helps regulate the immune system. Making you happier and healthier.
